With all of the products available to us on retailers’ shelves it may seem that we can simply “fix” anything wrong with our skin. That is true only a small portion of the time. Prevention is key when it comes to healthier skin. Not even make-up can conceal neglected skin. (Although it can sure enhance the ill effects of it!) The best home remedies for your skin may be in what you don’t do, as opposed to what you do.
For starters, listen to your mother. Don’t smoke, don’t drink caffeine, stay out of the sun and avoid excessive uses of alcohol. These agents dry and age the skin so that before you know it you’ll look in the mirror and ask yourself, “Where did my beauty go?”
Stick to a routine. I always marveled at my mother’s glowing skin. My mother was a creature of habit. She took a few minutes every night to wash and moisturize her face before bed. When she got up the following morning she repeated this process religiously. I credit her routine to the reason so many people thought we were sisters rather than mother and daughter.

Wear a hat in the sun. If you think you’re too cool for a hat, for crying out loud, use a sunscreen. That tan may look great at 20. But it will come back to haunt you when you’re 40. Did I say prevention? Perhaps I meant preservation. Preserve your skin by keeping it out of the harmful UV rays of the sun. You’ll look younger longer and your skin will thank you when it doesn’t look like leather when you’re 40.

Drink your water. The number of glasses you should drink each day is questionable, depending on which “expert” you listen to this week. A good rule of thumb is that if you’re thirsty reach of water as opposed to soda, tea or coffee. Your skin will take on a healthy glow as a result of this habit.

It’s all over the media these days - claims that 40 is the new 30. If you’re not one of those who can afford expensive beauty products, Botox or plastic surgery then you may be skeptical. But think back to pictures of your grandmother and her sisters. The only thing that made them look older were bad hair styles and too much hair spray. But they knew a thing or two about taking care of their skin without spending a lot of money. They simply used home remedies that can still work for you today.
You probably have never heard of blackstrap molasses. But I assure you, your grandma has. Applying this to your skin and keeping it on for half an hour every night after you wash your face recharges your skin and gives it a youthful boost. Thanks to its vitamin rich ingredients this can help skin after 40 look fresh and radiant.

Prevention is key. Prevention means all sorts of things. The idea is to prevent the signs of aging. To do this naturally there are a couple of steps you can take that are no-brainers. One is exercise. A daily brisk walk helps your lymphatic system clear your body of toxins since it uses motion to activate the process. Exercise also increases oxygen levels to our lower lungs and helps move blood for glowing skin.

Water is also necessary to remove toxins and waste from the body. You’ll hear it a million times over, that water is key to younger looking skin. But it’s true. Case in point - I noticed a dramatic change in a friend of mine who had not yet turned 50. I couldn’t put my finger on it then I realized she simply looked younger. When I asked her what she was doing differently to create such an incredible youthfulness in her skin. She smiled broadly and informed me that she finally started listening to the experts and had replaced all her sodas and coffee with water. The effect was astounding and it took years off of her appearance.

Gross, unsightly or, more technically speaking, “ew”. That’s what we think of warts. The money spent to remove these unsightly demons is over the top. If you’re tired of pouring your money into over the counter treatments that don’t work, then perhaps this article can be of help.

The first rule to remember is patience. Most warts don’t disappear overnight. (Unless you have the money to have them scraped, burnt or lasered off by a dermatologist). With that in mind, the first thing you may want to try - ignore them. Yes, ignore them. At least half the warts found on younger people disappear on their own within two years. If that sounds like a lifetime to you, there are some other things you can do, but again, they take time.

Vitamin A from fish oil can be applied directly to the wart. (Never ingest vitamin A without asking your doctor first since high doses can be toxic.) Apply vitamin A oil directly to the wart daily and they will most likely disappear within two to four months, sometimes sooner.

In spite of what you’ve heard, castor oil really can be your friend. Mix a small amount of castor oil with baking soda to create a paste. Apply this to the wart twice a day then cover with tape or a Band-Aid. In a couple of weeks you should notice the wart disappearing from the affected area.

Another home remedy that many people from older generations swear by is the use of lemon, apple cider and salt. Soak lemon wedges in apple cider for one week. Add a little salt then apply it directly to the wart. Rub generously. The time it takes this home remedy to work varies with each individual.

Is there anything more painful or bothersome to your skin than a sunburn? You didn’t mean to get it, but the day was just so beautiful, you were having so much fun, that is until you noticed that your skin resembled a lobster. Here you will find home remedies to combat the pain and itching that are sure to follow.
The first two tips may seem like the last thing you would use on a burn. But they are tried and true methods that worked long before the days of conveniently located CVS and Walgreens pharmacies. Witch hazel is an astringent used for many purposes. One of the things it can treat effectively is a sunburn. Put some on a cool wet washcloth and pat (never rub) it over your sunburn. It provides soothing relief and can be repeated as often as necessary.

Take a vinegar bath. The first time I was told to do this I thought my relative had lost her mind. Then I remembered that she hailed from Florida and my Midwestern sunburn was nothing compared to her years of experience dealing with kids and burns. Pour one cup of vinegar in a tub of cool bath water. It will feel as though the vinegar is literally soaking up the burn. You can also dip a wet washcloth in the vinegar and apply as you would the witch hazel.

If your eyelids are burnt head to your kitchen. Cucumbers can provide soothing relief and reduce swelling. Tea bags can also be used and will have the same results.

Another home remedy for sunburns is a baking soda paste. Add a generous amount of baking soda to a bowl of water then apply it to your skin. Let it dry. Rinse well in cool water then follow with moisturizer. If your moisturizer contains perfumes you may want to consider using baby oil instead, allowing it to soak into your dry skin to reduce itching.

If you are like me you know how sad you can feel when you look at an old picture of yourself and realize that you are getting really old FAST! As a woman it seems once you hit 30 the rate of aging increases dramatically, especially on your face. Thankfully, there have been a lot of great anti aging products that hit the market that claim that they are anti aging cures. I found two anti aging skin care products that will be reviewed: Lift SP and Belisi RX.

These reviews are taken from a great site I found called FreshHealthNews.com where you can sign up for their email alert to fing great free trials on some amazing products.

Lift SP is the newly touted miracle in a bottle. Its claims to drastically reduce fine lines and rejuvenate sagging skin have caused consumers to rush out to buy it. With all the claims to lift, erase and reduce… you may be curious to know what Lift SP is truly all about. Read more Lift SP Review

Deprive your body of sleep and water as many in the Western world do and the damaging effects will show up in your face. Sleep and water deprivation cause premature aging due to lack of rest and hydration. Making sure that you get enough of both is essential. Read more Belisi RX Review

So if I hope you will try some of these products… its FREE and see if they are the right anti aging skin care product for you.
